Glasgow: A Great City For Museum-Enthusiasts
August 8, 2008 7:15 am TravelAn old friend of mine got married in Glasgow the other month, and I made the trip across the Atlantic to wish him well and do some opportunistic sightseeing.
Not wanting to spend my entire trip in the confines of my room at the Campanile Hotel Glasgow, I went out on the town to see what I could find. Being a student of museology and a fan of all things museum-related, I was pleasantly surprised with what I discovered.
Much to my enjoyment, I learned that Glasgow is home to a stunning collection of museums. There’s the GOMA, Museum of Transport, Scotland Street School, Kelvingrove, and many other smaller venues as well.
If you’re a lover of museums as I am, you’ll never be bored while in Glasgow. On that, you have my word.
