If you take your classes in China then you might be able to land a job shortly afterwards in a nearby location. If you do choose to participate in TEFL classes in Beijing then you might want to save a little free time for exploring. When exploring Beijing I would suggest that you see Gu Gong also known as the “Forbidden City”. When your brain gets tuckered out from your classes visiting this ancient imperial palace maybe just the getaway you need! There are peaceful gardens, courtsides and a maze of pavilions that you can visit. You might even consider bringing your materials so that you can study. Also when making a stop at Gu Gong make sure you stop at the historic site where the Tiananmen Square massacre took place in 1989. Sightseeing and studying is all in a day’s work when you’re in Beijing getting your certification!
