Extending the range for music using outdoor patio speakers

With the new entertainment section of the house recently completed it is time to get it setup and ready for the summer months. The pool and barbeque area backs onto a new room that is fully equipped with a sound system and TV display. I really like the idea of extending the music to the outdoor area. The music currently carries through the walls but some outdoor patio speakers would be more appropriate. Since this area is weather exposed, the speakers will need to be weatherproof. I have seen these type of speakers before but selecting an appropriate set will take a little research.
