They complain that their husbands and boyfriends don’t listen to them. They may act as if they are listening. They may pretend to be listening. But if asked to repeat what the woman has just said, most men cannot, as they were not truly listening. They may have been thinking about their day at work or preoccupied with the football game that was on television at the time the conversation took place.
