Menopause is a hot topic for books
December 16, 2007 11:12 am HealthPublishers are responding to menopause with a fast-growing list of timely, informative books on the subject. Since Gail Sheehy broke the taboo on the subject with a 1991 article in Vanity Fair magazine, dealing with menopause symptoms has become a hot topic for writers, physicians, nutritionists and others. Here’s one of my favorites:"The Silent Passage," by Gail Sheehy (Random House). Sheehy is a best-selling author and contributing editor to several magazines. With 150 pages, this is a fast, easy read, a good overview of the subject. It’s the one book a Seattle gynecologist recommends to her menopausal patients.
