Is Invasive Hip Replacement Better?
February 24, 2008 5:10 pm HealthInvasive hip replacement is a relatively new procedure and many people including those in the medical field are raising eyebrows at such a discovery. What are the main advantages to this surgery according to the innovating doctors? The first advantage is faster recovery; doctors say that it would take effort for the body to heal two small incisions rather than one long incision tearing the whole muscle. The second advantage is the time spent at the hospital, doctors say patients can leave the next morning, thus it is less costly. The third advantage is in relation to the surgery itself, where blood loss is minimal and according to doctors could be considered safer. So far, invasive hip replacement seems to have handy advantages to both the surgeon and the patient.
