Helping needy children in Iraq
October 27, 2008 7:12 pm HealthHelping needy children ought to be a priority in Iraq. The “surge” seems to have run out of steam, as campaigning for the US presidency was getting into stirde. In other words, it peaked too early. As a result the numnber of needy children in this war-torm country has increased. Because the interest shown to the Iraq war, and the time given to it by politicians, has slipped. It is almost as if the needy children in the war theatre has gone unnoticed. Not even at the year’s end, over 5000 civilians had been killed in Baghdad alone. This is because the surge has been met with increased resistance, and this means bystnders are killed. There are some very very needy children out there in Iraq, and we are not hleping them as much as we could.
