It’s not that she is deaf but she is quite old already and she already has hearing problems. There are times when she does not hear the phone ring, that is why I got her this kind of cordless phone. She sometimes has it in vibra mode or sometimes the cordless phone lights up when somebody calls. Letting her see instead of hear that somebody is calling. So if your mom or your dad is like mine, well take them out of their misery and get them this phone.
