Body weight Exercise : Leg Elevations
August 12, 2008 1:21 pm HealthFor as long as I can remember I have been a sports enthusiast, interested in discovering different sports and learning how to play them. At the university I attended I tried out for the soccer squad and became enamored of the game. But there was one thing that detracted from my love of the sport and that is the repetitions of leg elevations that were required of us. Leg elevations are a type of body weight exercise in which you lay flat on the floor and then elevate your legs approximately half a foot off the ground. The point is to maintain this position for a specified duration. For members of the soccer team, the amount of time we had to hold our legs elevated was specified by our coach, who seemed to enjoy the tortured looks on our faces when our abdominal muscles began twitching.
