Help designing my kitchen

Technology

I am planning to redo my kitchen, and I am looking for some software that will help me picture the various options that are available to me so that I can pick the design I like best. Can anyone recommend a good 3D kitchen design software program? It would really help me out since I want to get started on the planning so I can figure out how much money I need to put aside before I can remodel. Once I know what I want I can get price estimates and start saving up. I may decide to do it a bit at a time.

Concerns About Wireless Broadband Interent Service

Technology

Wireless broadband internet service can be found in many places in shopping centres, coffee shops, fast food restaurant and other public areas where a "Hot Spot" can be found. The words "Hot Spot" means the zone is electronically connected with wireless broadband internet service. To access the internet in these areas, all you need is a laptop. As long as you are within range of "Wi-Fi" network, you will be able to surf net at about 100 times faster than the fastest dial-up connection. But when using such service, security is a concern. You need to note that most Wi-Fi is open to the public. It has little or no security systems. You need to make sure that your computer can prevent hackers from peeping into your files.

BT Statistics compared with Point Topic Analysis

Technology

Last week, as BT published its regulation statistics, analysts released the due potential of broadband coverage which should be available in forthcoming UK markets. In November, BT’s forecast ignored the effects of changes to the country’s economic conditions, basing its analysis only on success which has been recorded in the past. As would be predicted through such a faulty analysis, there was a sharp reduction in broadband growth. The prediction, which suggested 2.9m from the middle of 2007, expected a staggering 2.0m influx. However, actual statistics reveal a significant reduction of 2.2m. This contrasts with what Point Topic forecasted last November, in their related analysis. The figure is actually 225,000, which falls 1.3% ahead of earlier forecast. With dial-up’s consumer base on a steady decline, Tim Johnson, Chief Analyst with Point Topic, attributes a suitable reason for the lack of additional broadband subscriptions. Only about a million dial-up homes are left, which can be targeted as potential upgrades for broadband. However, most of the outstanding homes remain resistant of broadband upgrades, for various insubstantial reasons. Nevertheless, there is still an existing market, as there are over 9.6 million homes which fail to sustain any providers. These prospective consumers are without any kind of Internet access, and will determine the industry’s success. Seemingly, as time passes, broadband providers have decided to target advertisements in favor of these customers, though these actions has yet to yield significant results. Still, ISP subscriptions have been better than the performance associated with previous marketing schemes. ISP CEOs need not blame the decrease in broadband subscriptions on the economy, especially if he is preparing his operation to support the current market. Often, operators lack foresight regarding the industry, resulting in their decline in productivity.  “However, it is somewhat misleading and does give the wrong impression of how well the broadband business is thriving” stated Johnson.  Looking at recent trends and the growth in the percentage of households with internet access, a satisfactory market can be seen. This year, towards the end of June, there was an increase of 4.3%, which increases UK broadband percentages to 62.9% - compared this with a mere 2.6% growth in the previous year. Based on estimates by Point Topic, the breakdown on current households is 58.4% for broadband, 4.5% for dial-up, and 37.1% with for those without internet access. Unfortunately, it is impossible to assure that these trends will continue.

I Really Enjoyed Spyhunter.

Technology

I like to play video games a lot and so I am always going out and trying them right away when they are released. Recently I read a Spyhunter review on the internet that made me race to the video store to get it. I really like this game. The graphics are great and the toys that you get to play with are awesome. Like the weapon selection you can use and everything makes this game pretty far out. I have to say that that review that I read was right on the money with this game, it does rock big time.

iPhone burns man’s leg, melts plastic backing

Technology

Perhaps one of the stranger complaints with the iPhone 3G so far, we have already seen numerous reports of cracks appearing, but this seems to be the first with a phone getting hot enough to actually burn someone’s leg.  This is some scary iPod News.

The user claims that he fell asleep for a few hours only to wake up in “extreme pain coming from my pocket.” It seems that while he was asleep the iPhone 3G became “extremely hot” and actually burned his leg. Of course it was not a severe burn, but described more “like a sunburn,” but still you would not think it should even get that hot.

From the images that were posted you can see what appears to be some melted plastic around the dock connector, and the red mark on his leg is pretty clear.

According to his reports, the phone was off and in his pocket, and he does not “think it was because it was pressed” but also noted that the phone was not jailbroken, the auto-lock was set to one minute, and the push email and 3G data were switched off.

Long story short, he called Apple Support and they will be replacing the phone. I know mine gets a little warm after some heavy or extended use, but certainly not hot enough to burn me. Has anyone else seen any similar issues?

Then, once you have a good piece of software, all you need to do is plug your iphone into your computer, and operate the software. Your computer should be able to automatically detect your iphone.

Rockbox for the Sansa improves Video Functions

Technology

Rockbox for the Sansa improves video functionality where the original firmware for the Sansa is lacking. The Sansa Software uses Quicktime to view videos which slows things down and is just not efficient at all, making videos for the Sansa very frustrating to watch. The Rockbox MPEG player is a huge improvement, using MPEG ½ format which is quite a bit smaller and offers far better synching. One way to take advantage of Rockbox for Sansa is to use the free program WinFF which is a small and simple to use program already configured for the Sansa. Use the following steps to create videos for your Rockbox player:

1: Download and install WinFF. It’s free and easy to download.

2: Get the video you want to convert. Have the saving location pointed to your Sansa.

3: Open WinFF and load your video by pressing the ADD button. Choose a saving location in the next area. Finally, in the first drop down box, choose ROCKBOX. In the second dialog box, choose the mp3 player or iPod you’re using.

4: You can add extra parameters for your video file if you’re comfortable doing so. If recommend changing the frame rate to 15 FPS, as many videos skip and are choppy at higher frame rates - also, this reduces the file size.

Network Support Services that Clients will Benefit From

A good network support company is one that can boast of having a wide and diverse technical knowledge background. A gift for my husband

Technology

My husband is definitely a big fan of electronic toys. And whenever he sees one that he wants he buys it pretty much right away. It is very rare for him to see something that he wants and then wait to buy it. That is why it is so hard to find presents for him. I need to find some big boys toys that he would like that he hasn’t already bought for himself, so this is going to be a bit hard. I would appreciate any advice of good websites to check out on my hunt for some new toys for his birthday, something like the Gadgets site but that will deliver to Norway.
