What do I need to do to open a restaurant?

I know that there is a lot involved, and that it is a bit complicated since there are a lot of details that have to be seen to. Is there a list anywhere of all of the necessary steps to open a restaurant? I really want to do this right so I have a good chance of succeeding with this new business venture of mine. There aren’t a lot of restaurants in this area, so I think people might be willing to give my new restaurant a try once I get it up and running.
