Do Proper Inheritance Tax Planning to Protect Your Heirs
March 28, 2009 1:55 pm BusinessI watched my cousins try to raise money to pay the inheritance tax that the government levied against them i n order to receive most of their fathers property that he left to them in his will. Even though their father had already paid taxes on it the government can still tax the heirs. I must admit, I don’t understand this fully. Since I don’t understand this I have made an appointment with an advisorthat can assist me with inheritance tax planning. Apparently there are ways to avoid these taxes, but it requires planning. I wasn’t my children to get as much from my estate as possible so I will implement whatever technique is necessary to protect the estate.
